Saturday July 11th featured wines!

This weekend I will be pouring our 2007 Fresno State Barbera and our 2007 San Joaquin County Chardonnay!
Our SJC Chardonnay is produced from grapes grown by the Duarte family, features ties of rich apple, pear, melon, and spice. Medium oak flavors expand and develop the wines full bodied texture and finish. Served chilled, this wine is the perfect accompaniment for traditional light meat venues and heavy hors d’oeuvres.
Our 2007 FS Barbera is produced from grapes grown in the Fresno State Vineyards, our 2007 Barbera's bright ruby hues are followed by a core of cherry and berry flavors with spice accents. Like its award-winning predecessors this vintage pairs nicely with pasta, veal, and beef dishes.
Call 559.278.4867 to place and order now! If you show up on Saturday at the Farm Market from 11-3pm you can receive 10% off on bottles and 15% on case purchases. See you Then!

For the past couple years Fresno State Winery has poured wine at the Miss CA pageant reception. This event is spectacular. Where do Rhone varieties come from?

The Rhône wine region in Southern France is situated in the Rhône river valley and produces numerous wines under various Appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC) designations. The region's major appellation in production volume is Côtes du Rhône AOC.
The Rhône is generally divided into two sub-regions with distinct viticultural traditions, the Northern Rhône and the Southern Rhône. The northern sub-region produces red wines from the
Syrah grape and white wines from Viognier grapes.
